Izumo: Follow the Sake Story
Begin at Izumo Taisha, follow the local railway toward a shrine connected with sake, then spend the night in Hirata, where old streets, a working brewery and two sake-centered stays carry the story into the next day.
See the shape of the trip before the details.
- Izumo Taisha
- Saka Shrine
- Momen Kaido
- Sakemochida Honten
Know the route before you go.
Day 1 depends on the current Ichibata Railway timetable. A transfer at Kawato may be required depending on the service. Leave enough time for the walk to Saka Shrine and the selected stay check-in window. Day 2 is deliberately flexible; recheck current openings, tasting conditions and luggage options close to travel.
Follow the trip in travel order.
